CONVECTAIR HEATERS

We all have different priorities and concerns in life, and our individual needs are very specific. Convectair
knows this, and that’s why each unit in the Convectair line has been ingeniously designed and produced
with precision and care to meet the high quality standards that make Convectair unique.

At Convectair, we believe that every problem has a solution! Take the time to read this section and you’ll
see that, when it comes to home heating, we share your concerns.

Convectair is much more than just another way of heating. Find out for yourself!

The Comfort of Even Heat
A Common Problem
We all know that hot air rises to the ceiling, while cool air remains at floor level. If you use a thermometer to measure the temperature near the ceiling and then at floor level, you’ll note a considerable difference.
Natural convection heating units use this phenomenon to turn a potential problem into a better solution.

The Convectair Solution
The Convectair heating unit naturally draws in the cool air along the floor and then reheats it, using a highly efficient patented heating element. The heated air rises in the unit and is gently diffused through the grilles at the top.

The intake of cool air from the bottom of the unit and the output of warm air from the top is known as the “chimney effect.” This natural acceleration pushes the hot air to the front of the unit rather than towards the wall, and helps the heat to spread evenly throughout the entire room. Hot and cool air mix more rapidly and efficiently. You feel much more comfortable, since the degree of warmth that you’ve selected is the same throughout the entire room. With Convectair, cold feet are a thing of the past! But that’s not all: convection reduces heating costs, since the heat produced is distributed more efficiently and evenly. And since a natural convection Convectair unit doesn’t require a motor or fan, it operates in total silence.

The Convectair Advantage
The equation is simple: more comfort for less money. You’ll appreciate the Convectair advantage!
The Comfort of Consistent Temperature
A Common Problem
Thermostats are traditionally installed on an interior wall at a height of five feet (1.5 metres). Sometimes, only one thermostat controls the heating system of an entire house. It’s easy to understand why the temperature varies from one room to another, and why overall comfort is an impossible goal.

Installed at the usual height, a wall thermostat can’t detect cooler air at floor level. The cooler air must reach the thermostat before the heating kicks in. This phenomenon causes major temperature differences between the floor and ceiling. Your feet get cold, even if the thermostat displays the temperature you’ve selected. Most people react by turning the thermostat up a degree. A while later, the room gets too hot. You turn down the thermostat again and . . . the yo-yo match has begun! You never reach a true comfort level, and you waste energy, too.

An electronic wall thermostat is more precise, but you’re not much further ahead, as the temperature is still measured at a height of five feet (1.5 metres) from the floor.
