Responsibilities: Assumes major responsibility for the preparation
 of rural utilities service approved four year engineering work plan,
 which details system improvements ( line upgrades ), ordinary
 replacements, pole replacements, substation upgrades or additions,
 and system protection improvements. Assists in implementation
 of  approved work plans. Maintains computer engineering and mapping  databases. Supervises design department employees
 who are  responsible for new extensions of  electrical service.
  He is also  responsible for poly-phase metering for commercial
and industrial customers.
Reports to: General Manager
Supervises: Engineering & Design Assistant, Senior Design Assistant, Design Assistant, Engineer, and
 Engineering and Staking Consultants
