APPENDIX A

MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES: NON-RECURRING

Estimate Charge
Electric meters are read monthly by the REMC approximately the 24th day of the month. If the meter cannot be read because of mean dogs, inaccessibility, etc., the consumer must furnish the REMC with a meter reading. If no meter reading is received from the consumer, the REMC will charge $.50 for estimating the kilowatt-hour consumption based upon the two previous months usage.

Meter Reading Fee
If no meter reading is received from consumers required to read their own meter because of mean dogs, inaccessibility, etc., for three consecutive months, an REMC employee will read the meter and the consumer will be charged $15.00 for this service.

Connect and Disconnect Charges
Seventeen days after the billing date each month, a delinquent notice will be sent to each consumer whose bill is unpaid. Ten days after the delinquent notice is mailed, bills remaining unpaid shall be collected by an REMC serviceman or service will be disconnected. When it is necessary for the REMC's serviceman to collect a delinquent account, a charge of $30.00 will be made to the consumer for the additional service rendered. If service is disconnected for non-payment, an additional charge of $60.00 will be made for reconnection of service the same day, if possible, or the following work day during working hours. In the event the consumer requires service other than during regular working hours, a charge of $100.00 to partially offset costs will be required before reconnection. In either instance, the full amount due the REMC must be paid before reconnection.

Unpaid Checks
When a check received in payment of a consumer's bill is returned unpaid by the bank for any reason (not the fault of the REMC), the bill will be considered delinquent and notice of 7 days will be given in which to make payment. After 7 days has elapsed, the account will be subject to disconnect if the check remains unpaid. Each check returned by the bank shall be assessed a handling charge of $25.00.

Requested Connects and Disconnects
When service is reconnected to the same consumer at the same location after service has been disconnected at the consumer's request within a twelve-month period, a $70.00 service fee will be charged and must be paid prior to service being reconnected.
