Air-Source Heat Pump

Rebate for a new constructed heat pump or replacing another electric resistance heat, gas, A/C or heat pump. Rebated equipment must be installed in primary residence.

Dual/Variable/Multi-Speed Compressor ONLY. Units that do not qualify include: window air conditioners and “thru-the wall” heat pumps (hotel-type machines). Single speed compressors for mobile/manufactured homes only qualify.

Mobile/Manufactured Housing
SEER ≥ 14, EER ≥ 10

Mobile/manufactured homes are defined as factory assembled, transportable, designed for transportation on own chassis, can be placed on temporary or permanent foundation and intended for year-round occupancy. Modular homes must be residential single family homes.

​Stick-Built or Modular Housing
SEER ≥ 16, EER ≥ 10

What Needs to be Submitted
  • A completed rebate application

  • A proof of purchase/receipt

  • An AHRI (Air conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute) certificate 

# of Rebates Members Can Receive

Limit of two rebates per member household per life of the rebated equipment.

up to $750

Applications must be received within 90 days of the rebated equipment's installation/service/purchase date in order to qualify for the 2022 rebate program. Applications received by Southeastern Indiana REMC between December 2, 2021 and December 15, 2022 are eligible for the 2022 Rebate Program. Applications received after December 15, 2022 will be processed under the 2023 Rebate Program requirements. The rebated equipment needs to be installed/purchased prior to submission of the application. Members must submit a completed application and required materials to qualify for any rebate.
